Kylee West, PhD Candidate

Biography
Kylee is a third year PhD student in Health and Human Physiology. Kylee completed her Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science at Campbell University. She completed her Master of Science in Kinesiology at Georgia Southern University where she studied the effects of exercise interventions on cardiovascular and motor performance outcomes in aging adults with and without chronic diseases. Since arriving at Iowa, Kylee has diversified her skillset to include in vitro endothelial cell experiments and is exploring the effects of modifiable lifestyle behaviors (particularly sleep) that can mitigate the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
